LiPure™ Magbead Viral RNA Mini Kit is a reagent used for isolating viral RNA from respiratory samples. The kit is designed to provide the fastest and easiest method for purifying viral RNA from serum, plasma, swabs, urine, cell culture media, and other cell-free body fluids. Utilizing magnetic bead technology, it enables purification of high-quality RNA that is free from proteins, nucleases, and other impurities. In addition to being easily adapted for automated systems, the procedure can be scaled up or down depending on the amount of starting sample.
The sample is first lysed under highly denaturing conditions to inactivate RNases and ensure the isolation of intact viral RNA. Buffering conditions are then adjusted to achieve optimal RNA binding to the magnetic beads. The RNA binds to the beads, while contaminants are efficiently removed using wash buffers. High-quality RNA is subsequently eluted from the magnetic beads for direct use or safe storage. The purified RNA is ready for downstream applications such as next-generation sequencing and RT-qPCR detection.
