LiPure™ Viral RNA Mini Kit (50 preps)

LiPure™ Viral RNA Mini Kit is a reagent used for isolating viral RNA from respiratory samples. Designed for the fastest and easiest purification of viral RNA, the Viral RNA Mini Kit is suitable for serum, plasma, swab, urine, cell culture media, and other cell-free body fluids. The kit can be fully automated on the QIAGEN QIAcube Connect. The process begins with sample lysis under highly denaturing conditions to inactivate RNases and ensure the isolation of intact viral RNA. Buffering conditions are then adjusted for optimal RNA binding to the spin column membrane, and the sample is loaded onto a Mini spin column. RNA binds to the membrane, while contaminants are efficiently removed using wash buffers. High-quality RNA is eluted for direct use or safe storage. The purified RNA is free from proteins, nucleases, and other contaminants and inhibitors, making it ready for downstream applications such as next generation sequencing and RT-qPCR detection.
