Pseudo-UTP (Pseudouridine-5'-Triphosphate) is one of the most commonly used modified nucleoside-5'-O-triphosphates. It serves as a building block for the polymerase-mediated synthesis of RNA molecules. RNA molecules, particularly messenger RNAs (mRNAs), have broad applications in therapeutic and diagnostic fields and have demonstrated clear advantages over plasmid DNA techniques in both gene therapy and vaccination. Compared to unmodified mRNAs containing uridine, mRNAs modified with pseudouridine exhibit enhanced nuclease stability, improved immunogenicity profiles, and superior translational properties. Therefore, by replacing standard bases with modified ones, pseudo-UTP can be utilized to develop druggable mRNAs with enhanced performance.
